This series examines the contrast between fashion photography in men and women's fashion magazines. Often in women's fashion magazines the photos seem to be focused on the sex appeal rather than the clothing, compared to men's magazines where there is a balance between presenting the articles of clothing and illustrating the sex appeal. These pictures portray women dressed in articles of clothing that are less revealing and as society categorizes, less feminine.
It is interesting to try and understand the differences between the standards the majority of society has placed on each gender when modeling clothing. It is also important to discuss the changes that should occur in the aspect of modeling clothing in a trendy, but also superior manner.
